Dr. Anne Ananga DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC

Dr. Anne Ananga is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health and Family Nurse Practitioner. She is the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) at Ability Plus Mental Health Clinic. She completed her Doctorate and master’s degree in Psychiatric Mental Health and Family Medicine from The University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB). Psychiatric services that she provides include mental health evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy through telepsychiatry. She brings a lot of experience from the Hospital, in patient, and outpatient clinics. Her specialties include anxiety disorders, ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, eating disorders, sleep disorders, psychosis, schizophrenia, women’s mental health issues, and substance use disorders. She provides MAT (Suboxone case management). Her areas of interest include eating disorders, chemical dependency, and sustaining recovery.

Kristian Rickman-Sykes, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Kristina Rickman-Sykes is a board-certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She has more than 26 years of Psychiatric Nursing experience. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Chipola College Florida and later her Master’s Degree in Nursing from Walden University. Her work as a psychiatric nurse has been in the inpatient and outpatient mental health setting, assessing and helping to coordinate care for adolescents and adults within a multidisciplinary team framework. Kristina is a board-certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and sees patients across the lifespan. She is committed to providing individualized, personalized, and comprehensive care for all patients.

Dr. Kenara Blocker DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC

Dr. Kenara Blocker is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Florida A&M University, and both Masters of Science and Doctorate degrees in Nursing from Florida State University (FSU). She also completed a Psychiatric-Mental Health certificate program through FSU as well. Dr. Blocker works with patients who are 14 years and above. She comes to the practice with eight years of clinical experience and is an active member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. Dr. Blocker is committed to utilizing her clinical expertise and experience to support the physical and psychiatric well-being of patients across Florida.

Shaquitia Jones, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Shaquitia Jones is a board certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Associates of Science degree in Nursing (RN) from Tallahassee Community College, Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing from The University of West Florida, Master of Science in Nursing with an Emphasis in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and Postgraduate Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA.  She comes to the practice with over eight years of clinical experience.   Her areas of interest include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, trauma-related disorders, substance abuse disorders, Insomnia, ADHD, chemical dependency, and sustaining recovery. Prior to joining Ability Plus Mental Health, Shaquitia practiced at the Balanced Wellbeing Psychiatry LLC, Tallahassee and Morning Light Wellness Center, Port St. Joe, FL. Shaquitia is committed to utilizing her clinical expertise and experience to support the physical and psychiatric well-being of patients in the Tallahassee area and the entire State of Florida.

Valtina Lawson, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Valtina Lawson, is a board certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She acquired her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from St. Petersburg College, and spent six years working as a psychiatric nurse. She later received her Masters of Science Degree in Nursing from The University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB).  She has worked at Florida State Hospital and gained valuable experience with both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric treatment.   She is board certified as a Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and treats a wide range of disorders ranging from Bipolar, ADHD, depression and Anxiety.

Carmelisa Jones, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Carmelisa Jones is a board certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Associates of Science degree in Nursing (RN) from Excelsior College, Albany, New York, Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing from Aspen University, Denver, CO ,  and Master of Science in Nursing in Psychiatric Mental Health from Herzing University, Milwaukee, WI. Carmelisa has more than 17 years of psychiatric nursing experience.  Carmelisa served in the Military and has specialty in treating PTSD, Anxiety, Bipolar, and ADHD.

Marsha Morris, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Marsha Morris is a board-certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Associate of Science degree in Nursing (RN) from Excelsior College, Albany, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, from Capella University, Minneapolis, MN, and her Master of Science in Psychiatric Mental Health at Walden University, Minneapolis, MN

Dorcas Bolaji is a board-certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Grand Canyon University Arizona, and her Master of Science in Psychiatric Mental Health from Walden University, Minnesota. She has joined the group with over 17 years of experience in Mental Health.  Her expertise is in treating patients with bipolar, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, ODD, and PTSD.

Mackel Mitchell, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Mackel Mitchell is a board certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Associates of Science degree in Nursing (RN) from Breckinridge School of Nursing in Jacksonville Florida, Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Master of Science in Psychiatric Mental Health at the University of Southern Alabama in Mobile, AL.  She has worked at Naval Hospital in Jacksonville, long-term care facilities, behavioral health, and sub-acute units and gained valuable experience with both inpatient and outpatient care.  Her expertise is in treating patients with bipolar, schizophrenia, anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, ODD, and IED.

Candice Powell, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Candice Powell is a board-certified Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She acquired her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Bowie State University Bowie, Maryland. She completed her Master’s in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) from Norwich University Northfield, VT United States. She has over 17 years of nursing experience including 8 years of RN experience in Medical/Surgical nursing, 8 years in Labor and delivery, 4 years in an ambulatory care setting, 1.5 years in case management, and 5 years in a leadership role.   She has expertise in treating ADHD, Bipolar, Anxiety, Depression, and other mental health disorders.
